The Fletch Bizzel Group's increasingly professional self-image had a major impact on artistic development. We have worked with directors such as Helmut Palitsch (including “UnserFaust / vonGoethe” 1995, “Spiel's nochmal Sam” 2001), Wolfram Lenssen (“An Author Sees Red” 1997), Rolf Dennemann (“Crashed” 1998) and Jost Krüger (“Frohe Feste "1998," Der Freigeist "1999).

Fletch Bizzel was recognized as a private theater by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. In addition to the in-house productions, a cultural program was developed year after year through cooperation with artists from Germany and abroad and the local cultural office, which is still an integral part of Dortmund's cultural landscape today. Recurring series of events have established themselves over the years.

These include events such as the “ Carnival of a Different Kind: Geierabend ” (since 1992), the presentation of Dortmund's independent theater groups (since 1985), “LesArt” of the Dortmund literary scene, the “Summer Cabaret” (since 1986), “Theaterzwang”, the festival Independent theater in North Rhine-Westphalia (since 1985) as well as exhibitions with visual artists from Germany and abroad.

Since 1994 the theater has participated in the “International Culture Days” as artistic advice for the various theater landscapes in our neighboring countries.
