The Florapark Magdeburg is a shopping center in the northwest of the city of Magdeburg . It is the third largest covered shopping center in Saxony-Anhalt and one of the largest in Germany. Every year around 5 million visitors visit the Flora Park.

The Florapark can be reached via the A 2 , B 1 , B 71 and B 189 expressways . There are a total of 3,000 free, uncovered parking spaces directly on the premises of the shopping center. The bicycle parking facilities with a capacity of over 200 bicycles consist of so-called front wheel clamps to which the bicycle frame cannot be secured. The Florapark can be reached directly with the buses on lines 52 and 71. You can get there by tram using line 1 or lines 3, 4, 5, 8, 9 and 10 and then to the connection to bus line 71. There is also a taxi rank.

Building and plant

With around 75,000 m² of retail space, the Florapark is the third largest shopping center in Saxony-Anhalt and one of the largest in Germany. There are over 90 specialist shops from a wide variety of industries, spread over two floors. In addition to the large parking lot, there is its own gas station and a directly adjacent park, the Flora Park of the same name .

The building is mostly glazed and constructed in a U-shape. Inside is the longest shop window in the region, around 1,000 m long.

A change of operator took place in October 2013. The new operator of the Flora Park is now Koprian iQ GmbH from Hamburg. This will extensively redesign and modernize the shopping center over the next few years.

In April 2015, the owner of the shopping center reassigned the complete management of the Flora Park to ESTAMA Gesellschaft für Real Estate Management mbH.

In November 2016 ROCKSPRING acquired Flora-Park from CHENAVARI Investment Managers (London).

Since July 1, 2017, the Flora-Park has been looked after in the areas of strategic and operational center management by CMde Centermanager und Immobilien GmbH.

The more than 90 stores include a very broad industry repertoire. The most important ones in Florapark are the electronics store MediMax , the toy store Toys "R" Us , C&A , Real and the furniture discounter Roller . There are also several cafes and fast food restaurants, such as Subway or North Sea . There is also a McDonald’s branch with a drive-in and a petrol station outside the center .
