Florence von Hoffmann

Clementine Helene Amelie Florence von Hoffmann b. Brinck (born March 22, 1891 in Berlin , † June 10, 1977 in Bückeburg ) was a German politician ( CDU ) and a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

Florence von Hoffmann was born in Berlin as the daughter of an officer and a German abroad. The family therefore made many trips abroad and had frequent changes of residence in Germany. From 1904 she lived in Bückeburg. After finishing school, she went to the Lyceum in Minden to train as a teacher. During the First World War from 1914 to 1918, a care and social activity followed. Afterwards she worked on boards of clubs and associations. From 1920 to 1933 she worked as a journalist. Then as a writer and freelance worker for Berlin newspapers and women's magazines. She lived in Dresden from 1922, but had to return to Bückeburg after the great air raid in February 1945. She was widowed and had two children. Florence von Hoffmann died on June 10, 1977 in Bückeburg.

Florence von Hoffmann was a member of the CDU since 1946. From 1946 to 1952 she was a city councilor and district council member in Schaumburg-Lippe and a member of the state women's committee. She was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament for the third electoral period from May 6, 1955 to May 5, 1959.
