Florian Haase

Florian Haase (* 1974 in Berlin ) is a German legal scholar and holder of the professorship for tax law , in particular international and European tax law , at the HSBA Hamburg School of Business Administration .

Career

Florian Haase grew up in Munster on the Lüneburg Heath . After graduating from high school in 1994, he studied law at the University of Hamburg from 1996 to 2000 . This was followed in 2002 by the graduation to the Master of International Taxation (MITax; also University of Hamburg) and in 2004 the doctorate at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg on a stock corporation law topic. After his legal clerkship at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court (2002–2005), Haase was appointed as a lawyer in May 2005 and as a specialist lawyer for tax law in June 2008. In April 2014 he was appointed to the professorship for tax law, in particular international and European tax law, at the HSBA Hamburg School of Business Administration. Haase is a member of several tax law associations, scientific advisory board of the IFA-Section North of the German Association for International Tax Law (German national group of the International Fiscal Association) as well as managing co-editor of the publishing house Dr. Otto Schmidt appearing tax journal Die Unternehmenssteuererung (Ubg). He lives with his family in Hamburg.

Florian Haase researches German tax law and its international implications. His research focuses on (international) corporate tax law (e.g. M&A transactions, restructuring, corporate reorganization, corporate restructuring, private equity and real estate transactions as well as complex financing), in tax planning, in investment tax law and in international and European tax law in all its breadth .
