The Brutale 750 S is a Motorcycle category naked bikes the Italian manufacturer MV Agusta .
The motorcycle was largely developed by the Italian motorcycle designer Massimo Tamburini . As the first basic model in the F4 series, the engine developed 93 kW / 127 PS and 75 Nm . Andrea Goggi was responsible for engine development. In collaboration with Ferrari, he introduced the conceptual basis from Formula 1 engines from 1990 to 1992, e.g. B. the radial arrangement of the four valves per cylinder. Another detail is the cassette gear. The new chassis was created under the responsibility of Massimo Parent.
The engine hangs in a tubular space frame and is a load-bearing element. The chassis has a 50 mm upside-down fork with fork feet, a Sachs strut , a CNC-milled 6-piston (front) and 4-piston brake system (rear) from Nissin , which was specially developed for MV Agusta by Marzocchi . The wheels and the single swing arm are made of aluminum . Other aluminum parts are the frame plates and the fork bridges.
750 S in the model name stands for the displacement of the four-cylinder in-line engine , which is exactly 749.4 cm³. The first model, limited to 300 pieces, was the MV Agusta Brutale 750 Oro , in which, like the MV Agusta F4 750 Oro series, many parts made of magnesium were used. The tire size front: 120/65-ZR 17 ″, rear: 180/55-ZR 17 ″ or 190/50-ZR 17 ″. Drive ratio with drive pinion front 14 teeth, rear 41 teeth, chain pitch 520 with 108 rollers (a chain link always has 2 rollers).
The recommended retail price for the Brutale 750 S in February 2004 in Germany was € 14,950 .
Model history
Since the high power output and a certain starting weakness were criticized in the press, MV Agusta improved the technical data of the motorcycle for the successor model MV Agusta Brutale 910 in 2005, because in addition to more power (100 kW) and more torque (96 Nm) it is also waiting with 2637 g less engine weight. This was mainly due to the use of lighter F4-1000 parts by the crank drive reached.
As a result, other models were also created, such as B. Brutale 989 R , the Brutale 1078 R and more.
