The MV Agusta F3 is a superbike motorcycle from the Italian manufacturer MV Agusta that has been on the market since 2012. For the first time since the famous MV Agusta three-cylinder racing machines in the 1970s, MV Agusta is again producing three-cylinder series.

technology

The three-cylinder engine uses a counter-rotating (backward) rotating crankshaft, a technique that was previously only used on MotoGP motorcycles. With a 79 mm bore and 45.9 mm stroke, the engine is designed as an extremely short-stroke engine and, in conjunction with titanium valves, enables an extremely high speed level. The motor control is handled by the MV Agusta MVICS system, which includes a ride-by-wire motor control. This is accompanied by four preset and one individually adjustable drive level (similar to the BMW) as well as a traction control that can be set in eight levels . Together with the MV Agusta's usual short wheelbase, steep steering head angle (66 °) and the resulting short caster (99 mm), the manufacturer promises very good handling combined with high driving stability. For this purpose, the tubular space frame was made relatively short and the single swing arm relatively long. The 43 mm Marzocchi upside-down fork , like the rear Sachs strut, is fully adjustable, as is common in this class. The cassette transmission can be switched with an automatic switch (MV Agusta EAS) for an additional charge. The new MV Agusta motorcycles will be available with an anti-lock braking system from 2014 . (As of 2/2013) offered at a price of 11,999 euros.

Special model

The special model F3 Oro is a limited edition of 200 pieces with a certificate of authenticity and a 24-carat gold plaque with the serial number.

Color variations

Every year several color variants of the F3 are offered, mostly the classic red / silver with a black frame, white with a red frame and gray / black with a red frame.
