The F4 750 Series Oro is a superbike motorcycle from the Italian manufacturer MV Agusta .

It is the first model after the "rebirth" of MV Agusta in 1997, which was first presented as a special model limited to 300 pieces at the 1997 EICMA motorcycle fair in Milan and built in 1999. The design of the F4 comes from Massimo Tamburini , who already designed the Ducati 916 for Ducati , which is considered a milestone in the history of Ducati in the new era after Fabio Taglioni .

The engine is the first basic model in the F4 series to deliver 93  kW / 126  hp and 74  Nm . Andrea Goggi was responsible for engine development. In collaboration with Ferrari, he introduced the conceptual basis from Formula 1 engines from 1990 to 1992, e.g. B. the radial arrangement of the four valves per cylinder. Another detail is the cassette gear. The chassis was redesigned under the responsibility of Massimo Parenti.

The engine hangs in a tubular space frame and is a load-bearing element. The chassis has a specially designed for MV Agusta of Showa developed upside-down fork with unconventional fork feet, Sachs a strut , a CNC-machined 6-piston (front) and 4-piston brake system (rear) of Nissin , Marvic- Magnesium wheels and a lightweight single-sided swing arm made of magnesium . Other magnesium parts are the frame plates and the lower triple clamp. The tire size front: 120/65-ZR 17 ", rear: 190/50-ZR 17" or 180/55-ZR 17 ".

All painted parts such as the entire casing, the rear, the airbox and the fuel tank are made from lightweight CFRP . The use of magnesium and CFRP made it possible to reduce the weight to a minimum, which until now has only been undercut by the F4 Veltro model .

This exclusive model was delivered with a certificate of authenticity and a 24-carat gold plaque with the serial number. Some models were signed by Giacomo Agostini . The official sales price in Germany in 1999 was 72,000  DM .
