The Brutale 910 is a motorcycle category naked bikes the Italian manufacturer MV Agusta .

The motorcycle was largely developed by the well-known Italian motorcycle designer Massimo Tamburini .

The 910 in the model name stands for the displacement of its four-cylinder in-line engine , which is exactly 909.1 cm³. The unusual cubic capacity is due to the fact that the engine emerged from the 750cm³ engine.

A 1000 version with the engine of the F4 1000 did not come about because it would not have fit into the Brutale's narrower tubular frame . So the engineers bored the 750 engine by 2.2 mm and installed a crankshaft with 6.3 mm more stroke. The latter required the use of 2.6 mm shorter connecting rods, which is noticeable in the rougher engine running.

In the course of this engine revision, MV Agusta improved the technical data of the motorcycle several times, because in addition to more power (750: 93 kW / 910: 100 kW) and more torque (750: 75 Nm / 910: 96 Nm) it also waits with 2,637 g less engine weight. This has been primarily through the use of lighter F4 1000 parts by the crank mechanism reaches.

Since the external dimensions of the engine remained the same, no major changes to the chassis, frame, etc. were necessary.

In 2006 MV Agusta brought a more powerful model variant called the Brutale 910 R onto the market. Outwardly distinctive are the red painted valve cover , the radially screwed 4-piston monoblock brake callipers from Brembo and the light forged wheels with Y-spokes - also from Brembo .
