Florian Riedl

Florian Riedl (born October 27, 1977 in Hall in Tirol ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). He has been a member of the Tyrolean state parliament since 2015 .

Life

Florian Riedl attended elementary and secondary school in Steinach am Brenner , and in 1997 he graduated from the Innsbruck Commercial Academy . He then studied geology at the University of Innsbruck , graduating in 2004 with a master's degree with a thesis on unstable slopes and their effects on structural engineering . He then completed his master's degree in torrent and avalanche control at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, which he completed in 2006 as a graduate engineer with a thesis on the torrent control project in Obingbach, Kirchbichl / Tyrol .

In 2004/05 he was employed at the Federal Geological Institute , since 2005 he has been working as a federal employee for the forestry service for torrent and avalanche control in Tyrol.

After Anton Pertl renounced his state parliament mandate in October 2015, Florian Riedl succeeded him as a member of parliament. In the state parliament, Riedl is a member of the committee for agriculture and forestry, transport and the environment, the committee for legal, community and spatial planning matters and the committee for society, education, culture and sport. Since October 2015 he has also been a member of the District Party Board and the District Party Leadership Innsbruck-Land, since April 2016 he has been the District Chairman of the Employees (AAB) Innsbruck-Land, and since October 2016 he has been the Commune Party Chairman of the ÖVP in Steinach. At the end of September 2018 he was elected deputy to regional chairwoman Beate Palfrader at the state parliament of the Tyrolean workers' association.
