Małgorzata Elżbieta Tracz (born December 8, 1985 in Bolesławiec ) is a Polish politician . Since 2015 she has been one of the leaders of the political green party Zieloni .

Life

Tracz studied Polish Studies and International Relations at the University of Wroclaw . After graduating, she worked for an international company for several years. She currently teaches at the University of Wroclaw.

When she was elected mayor of Wroclaw in October 2018, she applied for the Partia Zieloni as the successor to long-time mayor Rafał Dutkiewicz , who no longer ran. However, with 1.4%, it only achieved the seventh most votes in the election of Jacek Sutryk . After the Partia Zieloni joined the electoral alliance Koalicja Obywatelska before the 2019 parliamentary elections , it was elected as one of four Greens to the Sejm .
