Florian Zumkeller

Florian Zumkeller (born January 16, 1979 in Waldshut ) is a German chef .

Life

Zumkeller comes from a family of restaurateurs whose restaurant Adler in Häuser is the only one in Germany to have consistently been awarded a star since the first edition of the Michelin Guide in 1966. His grandfather Erich cooked the star, his father Winfried defended it for over 30 years.

He completed his training with Alfred Klink ( Colombi Hotel in Freiburg im Breisgau ). Other positions were Philippe Chevrier at Domaine de Châteauvieux and Adolfo Blokbergen at L'Auberge du Raisin.

Since 2006 he has been a chef at his home restaurant Adler , and head chef there since 2011. Even under him, the restaurant was awarded a Michelin star.
