Florin Veliciu
Ioan Florin Veliciu (born August 25, 1985 in Arad ) is a former Romanian weightlifter .
He reached eighth place in the class up to 56 kg at the 2004 European Championships . In the same year he took part in the Olympic Games in Athens, where he took 14th place in the class up to 62 kg. In 2005 he was seventh at the European Championships and eleventh at the World Championships . At the European Championships in 2006 he was disqualified for a doping violation and banned for two years. After his suspension, he finished fifth in the snatch at the 2009 European Championships , but had no valid attempt in pushing. At the European Championships in 2010 , he reached sixth place.
