Friedrich Schultze-Rhonhof
Friedrich Max Edgar Rudolf Jonathan Schultze-Rhonhof (born June 9, 1892 in Kattowitz ; † November 1, 1951 in Bünde in the Herford district ) was a German gynecologist and since 1934 full professor and director of the University Women's Clinic in Breslau .
Life
Schultze-Rhonhof was born in 1892 as the son of the factory director August Schultze and his wife Barbara Bieregel. He studied in Göttingen and Berlin from 1910, after completing his military service during World War I in 1918. This year he received his doctorate in Berlin with a dissertation on the treatment of intestinal invagination . From 1919 he first worked as an assistant doctor in the internal department of the Stubenrauch district hospital in Berlin-Lichterfelde and from 1921 at the Heidelberg University Women's Clinic. His habilitation followed in Heidelberg in 1924 and his appointment as associate professor in 1930. From 1930 he was senior physician and in 1934 deputy director at the University Women's Clinic in Heidelberg. He was a member of the NSDAP and the SA. In 1934 he took up a full professorship for obstetrics and gynecology and became director of the University Women's Clinic in Breslau. After the Second World War, he worked in a private clinic from 1947 as an employed gynecologist in Herford, near which he settled in 1950 as a statutory health insurance doctor with his own practice in Bünde. Schultze-Rhonhof researched and published, among other things, on lung tuberculosis in pregnancy and the therapeutic use of hypnosis in gynecology.
In 1924 he married Margarete Emilie Faßmann, with whom he had a son.
