Floris Osmond
Floris Osmond (born March 10, 1849 in Paris , † June 18, 1912 in Saint-Leu near Paris) was a French scientist and engineer. He is considered one of the founders of metallography . He made a decisive contribution to the elucidation of the allotropy of iron . Various structural components of steel were named by him, B. Martensite according to A. Martens .
