Fluchtweg is a punk band that first came from Neuruppin and later from East Berlin and has a very individual style of music.

history

Fluchtweg was founded in Neuruppin in 1984 and dissolved again in 1986. At the time of the turning point in 1988, the band formed anew in East Berlin and played around 400 concerts in Germany and other European countries by the year 2000. They also played with well-known bands such as SNFU , Hass , Normahl , Terrorgruppe or The Exploited and reached the top 10 of Rockradio B and DT64 in 1992 and 1993 . To publish their records more independently, they founded the record label TollShock Records in 1994. After a few farewell concerts, the band broke up in 2000. Nevertheless, they played in 2001 for the 10th anniversary of No Exit , in 2003 at the Holzrock Open Air and as "emergency exit" at the first German championship in rubber boot throwing in Berlin. In 2006 the band reunited and in March 2007 their new album "Corporate Identity" was released.

style

Fluchtweg play punk rock with a saxophone as an unmistakable instrument. Most of the songs, especially on the last few releases, are very fast-paced. The texts are mostly socially critical. The preferred means of expression is a ridiculously exaggerated glorification of grievances.

Trivia

The band has a penchant for tequila . This is not only documented by numerous songs about this agave brandy , but also underpinned by the fact that at various concerts either the band donated tequila or this was requested by the audience.
