NOE

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

NOE ( Well, operationally removed? ) Was a German punk band from Delitzsch near Leipzig . NOE was founded in 1992 by Ötsch (guitar; vocals), Zonk (bass; vocals) and Kord (drums), later Boss (keyboard; harmonica, etc.) was added. The line-up of the band remained in this constellation until they broke up in 1998.

Four albums and two EPs were released. Although some German punk bands have occasionally used keyboards , NOE made the excessive use of the keyboard popular in German punk. NOE's lyrics are about lovesickness, war, fascism, revolution and other hot spots and issues. It is interesting that NOE were among the few German punk bands that did not use slogans in their lyrics. The songs from NOE are musically sophisticated and varied. This is particularly due to the fact that the band bring many different instruments such as a banjo (used in Hippiekiller ) into their songs. In addition, they often come across the world ofSka , for example in Jean Pütz , and sometimes also strike calm tones, as in Es is questionable .

On May 14, 2011, NOE gave a one-off concert as part of the “20 Years of No Exit” festival at Hof 23 in Berlin.
