The Dödelhaie are a German punk band from Duisburg .
history
The band was founded in 1982 from the wave formation Zeitzeichen . Founding members were band leader and guitarist Andi and bassist Hardy. In 1983 the singer Timo and guitarist Mani joined them. The first concert followed that same year.
By the end of the 1980s, numerous demos and sampler contributions by Dödelhaie had appeared. They played together with representatives of German punctuation such as Inferno , the Maniacs and the Neurotic Arseholes . In 1989 they recorded their first album on their own, which was released in 1990. In the same year the band separated from their singer. Since no suitable successor was found, Andi took over the vocals. In 1991 they took part for the second time in a row at the Krampf Festival , where a band friendship with Daily Terror developed and established a close collaboration. Festivals, tours in Germany and Italy and further LP recordings followed. In 1990 guitarist Axel joined the band.
In the following years the dödel sharks also established themselves abroad. They played in Cuba on New Year's Eve 1999/2000 . In 2000, 2005, 2007 and 2009 they took part in the largest German punk open air festival Force Attack . The band's albums are now being sold on local labels in Poland, the Czech Republic, Russia and Malaysia.
Together with the Kulosa brothers, the Dödelhaie founded the punk label Impact Records in 1990 .
