The Fukushima Airport ( Jap. 福島空港 , Fukushima Kuko ) is a small commercial airport in the city of Sukagawa in the Japanese prefecture of Fukushima .

location

The airport is about eight kilometers southeast of Sukagawa's city center. The next larger city is Kōriyama , about 20 kilometers northeast of the airport.

According to Japanese law, the airport is classified as 3rd class . International flights to Seoul-Incheon and Shanghai were also offered at least at times .

The airport has various navigation aids. The rotating radio beacon (VOR) transmits on frequency : 113.45  MHz with the identifier: FKE . A distance measuring equipment (DME) is present. The location denial is 7 ° west. (Status: 2006)
