The airport Karibib ( English Karibib Airport ) is the airport of the municipality of Karibib in Namibia . The airport to the north of the city was built as a military airfield by the South African Air Force . It has been the headquarters of the Namibian Air Force since March 4, 2016 , but is still open to general aviation upon request.
