The Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport (until 2011 Livingstone International Airport ) is the international passenger airport of Livingstone in Zambia . It is located about five kilometers northwest of the city and is the starting point for trips to the Victoria Falls, 15 kilometers away . The airport was completed in the summer of 1950. He served right from the start and the long-haul flights from London to South Africa as a stopping place for BOAC , which until then served the route with flying boats.

The airport has been named after Harry Mwanga Nkumbula since 2011 .

Airlines and connections

The airlines 1Time , Comair and South African Airways connect Livingstone with Johannesburg . Other destinations in South Africa are Mbombela , which is served by South African Airlink . Kenya Airways has been offering flights to / from Nairobi since June 2013 .

Domestically, Proflight Commuter Services flies the cities of Lusaka and Mfue .
