The Murmansk Airport ( Russian Аэропорт Мурманск / Аэропорт Мурмаши , IATA code : MMK , ICAO code : ULMM ) is the airport of the same northern Russian port city on the Kola Peninsula away, about 24 km from the city center. In 2018, around 938,000 passengers were handled at the airport. Gazprom operated the airport until it was taken over by Novaport in 2015 . The airport is mainly used by Russian airlines for domestic flights, there is also a seasonal connection from Finnair to Helsinki .
