Aéroport de Nioro is a small airfield in the Republic of Mali in the Kayes region . The airfield is located around 15 kilometers south of the border with the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and is only a few meters off the main road N 1, which connects the airport with the city of Nioro du Sahel to the west .
Until Dec 24th 2012, the airfield was a week by Air Mali with smaller turboprop machines of the type Beechcraft C 1900 served in domestic service. Air Mali has ceased operations until further notice.
