The Norilsk airport ( Russian Аэропорт Норильск ) is the international airport of Norilsk in Russia . It is located around 34 kilometers west of the city center at an altitude of 181 meters. The airport has a runway. Flight operations run 24 hours a day.
It was built in the late 1950s as a base for Soviet bombers. Until 1991 24 Sukhoi Su-15 TM of the 57th IAP (57th Fighter Regiment) were stationed there.
