The international airport Adisumarmo ( Indonesian Bandara Internasional Adisumarmo , IATA : SOC , ICAO : WARQ ) is the airport of the Indonesian city of Surakarta (Solo) in Central Java . The airport is also known under the term Solo Airport (Solo = coll. For Surakarta).

Until the modernization and expansion of Yogyakarta Airport , it was the only international airport in Central Java and took almost all of the tourist traffic for this region.

Although more and more airlines are now flying to Yogyakarta Airport, some foreign airlines continue to serve Surakarta. B. Silk Air and the Malaysian low-cost airline Air Asia .

The airport is an important base for the Indonesian military .

At the beginning of 2007 there are two aprons (military / civil aviation) in operation. The small building for handling passengers is located south of the runway. To the north of the runway , a new passenger building and apron will be built (July 2008), which will be equipped with two passenger boarding bridges .

There is no taxiway parallel to the runway. That is why two aircraft are never allowed to be on the same runway at the same time - the ground movements of the aircraft must therefore be coordinated accordingly.
