The Umbu Mehang Kunda Airport (also: Mau Hau airport ) is on the Indonesian island of Sumba and serves as a national airport for Waingapu , the largest city on the island.

Airport

The airport is of great importance for the island of Sumba as it is one of two airports on the island with poor infrastructure. In 2016 the airport terminal was renewed, which improved the handling of passengers. The airport is located east of the city of Waingapu in the north of the island. There are taxi ranks and some parking spaces in front of the airport building.
