The airport of Vientiane (Wattay International Airport; IATA code : VTE ; ICAO code : VLVT ) is the international airport of Vientiane , capital of Laos .

General

Wattay International Airport has an asphalt runway (3000 × 45 m) as well as a terminal for domestic flights and a (newer) international terminal. In addition to Vientiane Airport, there are three other international airports in Laos: Pakse Airport and Savannakhet Airport in the south and Luang Prabang Airport in the north of the country.

Flight connections

National and international destinations are served from Vientiane Airport. Some of the main destinations are Bangkok , Kunming , Phnom Penh , Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City . There are flights to Luang Prabang , Luang Namtha , Pakse , Muang Xay and a few other places within Laos .
