The Zhongwei Shapotou Airport (IATA: ZHY , ICAO: ZLZW ) is an airport that the city Zhongwei in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in China served. The airport is 9 kilometers northwest of the city. The airport cost around 370 million yuan to build and started operating on December 26, 2008. It was originally called Zhongwei Xiangshan Airport (中卫 中卫 香山), but adopted its current name in August 2012 to promote the local tourist attraction of the Zhaobishan Ancient Copper Mine in Shapotou . The runway made of concrete material has an alignment 09/27 and a usable runway length of 2800 meters.
