The hofkirchen airport ( ICAO code : LOLH even airfield HB Hofkirchen ) is an airfield in the town of Hofkirchen im Traunkreis , Upper Austria . It lies between the places Krottenthal, Kiebach and Ruprechtshofen at an altitude of 358 m (1175 ft) MSL . It was opened in 1977 and has served HB-Flugtechnik as a works airfield ever since .

Flight operations

The airfield is approved for helicopters , motor planes and gliders operating according to visual flight rules . It mainly serves as a works airfield for HB-Flugtechnik, but after registration it can also be approached for general aviation ( PPR ). There are two separate circuits for this purpose : one north of the field for workshop flights and a south circuit for normal flight operations. At the local HB flight school, courses are regularly offered to acquire various pilot licenses ( PPL -A, UL -A, UL-G and UL-T). At the weekends, flight operations are maintained by the HB fan club .

Infrastructure

The airfield has a 450 m long grass runway that runs in an east-west direction (08/26). The apron , hangar and flight control are located north of the runway on the threshold to runway 08. This is also where the HB-Flugtechnik shipyard and the HB-Café are located.
