The Ras Lanuf Oil Airport ( english : Ras Lanuf Airport ) is an airport in Libya .

location

The airport is located 200 km southeast of Surt on the Mediterranean coast . The airport area is located immediately southwest of Ras Lanuf ( Munizip Surt ), on the road from Surt to Brega (Al Burayqah).

history

During the Second World War , the airfield was used as Hamraiet Airfield by the 57th Fighter Group of the US Air Force .

Navigation aids

The airfield's non-directional radio beacon (NDB) transmits on the frequency 385  kHz with the identifier VR . The location denial is 2 ° East.
