Fliegender Jakob ( Swedish Flygande Jacob ) is a Swedish dish .

The dish consists of chicken , bananas , fried bacon , cream , chilli ketchup and peanuts . In the original recipe, the chicken is seasoned with Italian salad herbs. The dish is prepared in the oven. The name Fliegender Jakob comes from Ove Jacobsson, the inventor of the court, who worked in cargo flights . The recipe was first published in 1976 in the Allt om Mat newspaper. Allt om Mat suggests boiled rice and a green salad as a side dish.
