Sabine Fohler

Sabine Fohler (born October 28, 1963 in Reichenbach an der Fils ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

Fohler studied political science , economics and sociology in Stuttgart from 1984 to 1990 and graduated with a master's degree .

From 1990 she worked as a research assistant in the SPD parliamentary group and in the office of parliamentary group chairman Dieter Spöri . From 1992 to 2008 she was a personal research assistant for various members of the state parliament.

She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Württemberg State Theater in Stuttgart .

Fohler is married, a Protestant and has three children.

Fohler has been with the SPD since 1991 and was chairwoman of the Reichenbach local association from 2004 to 2008, as well as being a member of the district executive committee in Esslingen since 2005 . She has been a member of Reichenbach's municipal council since 1999 . In May 2008 Fohler became a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg , she replaced the resigned Carla Bregenzer and received a seat on the committee for science, research and the arts as well as on the European committee and on the administrative board of the state theater. She was also the sectarian spokeswoman for her group. She did not return to the state parliament elected in 2011.
