The Fondation pour la Mémoire de la Shoah ( Foundation in Memory of the Shoah ) is a private foundation recognized as a non-profit , established in 2000.

history

The endowment capital was paid in by the French state and French financial institutions 393 million euros , which are viewed as a restitution of Jewish property that was confiscated from Jewish citizens under the German occupation and the Vichy regime and not to the owners or after the end of the Second World War Heirs was returned. The foundation's projects are financed with the income from the foundation's capital.
