Fonte Boa is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in northern Portugal .
Fonte Boa belongs to the Esposende county in the Braga district . The community had an area of 6.1 km² and 1327 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Fonte Boa and Rio Tinto were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Fonte Boa e Rio Tinto . Fonte Boa is the seat of this newly formed community.
