Fonuaʻunga (also: Fonuaunga , Fonuauga ) is a small uninhabited island in the Tongan archipelago of Vavaʻu .

geography

Fonuaunga is a motu in the easternmost reef edge of Vavaʻu. It belongs to the same series as Lolo and Fonuafuu and is relatively isolated. In the west are the next islands Tauta and Ngau .

climate

The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands in the Vavaʻu group, Fonuaunga is occasionally hit by cyclones .
