Foreign Policy is an initially quarterly and since 2000 bimonthly magazine in the US. It focuses on the foreign policy of the United States as well as international politics , relationships and business.
The magazine was founded in 1970 by Samuel P. Huntington and the banker and diplomat Warren Demian Manshel. Alongside Foreign Affairs, it is one of the leading and opinion-forming publications in this field. Foreign Policy is published by the Washington Post Company, which replaced the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace as publisher on September 29, 2008 . Foreign Policy experiences the greatest external perception primarily through the annual globalization index and the Fragile States Index (until 2013 Failed States Index). The edition is just under 110,000 copies.
Internet presence
In early 2006, the magazine expanded its web presence with the Foreign Policy Passport blog . Several blogs have been added since then. Notable authors include military reporter and Pulitzer Prize winner Tom Ricks, bestselling author Stephen M. Walt , former senior US Department of Defense official and policy advisor to George W. Bush , Dov Zakheim and Steve Biegun, foreign affairs advisor to John McCain .
