The Forester Sisters are an American music group that formed in the mid-1980s.

Career

Four sisters, Kathy, Christy, June, and Kim Forester are from Lookout Mountain, Georgia . Kathy and June made the musical start with performances at church services and parties. Kim soon joined in, and eventually Christy completed the Forester Sisters .

In 1983 the quartet recorded a demo tape, which ended up in the hands of producer Jim Ed Norman from the Warner Brothers label . A record deal was signed a few months later. The first single (That's What You Do) When You're In Love was already in the country's top ten. The next single I Fell In Love Again Last Night even reached number one. Further successful songs were released from their debut album Forester Sisters .

In 1986 a tour with the Bellamy Brothers was carried out and several joint titles were recorded. The Forester Sisters' success remained loyal to the 1990s. Every single was able to place itself in the charts. The albums are also selling well.

Although the sisters were now married and had children, they continued to tour. Some of their husbands played in the backing band or worked as road managers. The Forester Sisters performed several times before American troops overseas on behalf of the Department of Defense.
