Fornæs Skibsophug is a Danish company in Grenaa that scraps ships and trades in marine equipment and scrap . It was founded in 1993 and has since demolished over 1,000 cargo ships , utilities , ferries and military craft.

Fornæs Skibsophug has specialized in breaking ships up to 100 m in length. In the harbor basin , equipment and superstructures are removed until it weighs 750 t and the shipyard's own crane can lift the ship ashore, where it is dismantled by excavators with hydraulic cutters within two days. In addition, the shipyard has a slipway that can be used to pull hulls ashore. According to its own information, the company fulfills all environmental protection requirements.
