background

A forerunner of the Forsthof was in the 18th century on the site of the Marienhölzung inn .

Old forester's house

The small thatched plaster house with a half- hipped roof in Marienhölzungsweg 160 ( Lage ) was built in a simple design around 1850. It still serves as an official residence today. The old forester's house has recently been placed under monument protection for historical reasons and because it was classified as a cultural landscape .

New forester's house

The New Forest House was planned in 1937 by the architect Theodor Rieve as a new residential and office building. It was built in 1938/39 directly opposite the old forester's house by the municipal building department and was given the address Marienhölzungsweg 161 ( Lage ). The new forester's house is built in yellow with a thatched half-hipped roof. On the main front there is a gabled middle dwarf house . In more recent times, the old forester's house has been placed under monument protection for historical reasons and because it was classified as a cultural landscape.

Other plants

Directly next to the old forester's house and the new forester's house there are still buildings belonging to the forester's office (forest administration) from the 20th century, which were apparently built sometime after the Second World War ( location ). There are also game gates in which wild boars and fallow deer are kept, including a white stag named Nathan.
