The Gasthaus Marienhölzung in Flensburg - Westliche Höhe in Marienhölzungsweg 150 is located in the middle of the Marienhölzung , but can be reached via the paved road there . It is one of the city's cultural monuments .

Originally there was a wooden bailiwick on the site of the inn, which was built around 1750 for the wood bailiff Hans Wesche, who was in charge of the logging of the Virgin Mary. This wooden bailiwick served as a residential and farm building as well as a small inn . In 1825/26, the carpenter Berg and the master bricklayer Hochreuthen, possibly based on plans by Axel Bundsen , built today's inn at the place mentioned. The single-storey plastered building with a half-hipped roof was built in the classicism style. On the main facade side there is a drawn-in, gabled columned hall, which is connected to a hall inside. There are also two cabinets in the old building . With new wing extensions for use as utility rooms, the building was later given a U-shape.

The Marienhölzung Inn has recently been placed under monument protection for historical and artistic reasons and because it has been rated as a cultural landscape . The inn was still used for gastronomic purposes until 2015. The inn has belonged to the Katharinenhospiz since 2018 , which will use the inn for the children and youth hospice service in the next few years.
