The Hamburg Authors Forum is a group of authors in Hamburg .

General

The group was founded in 1989 as a forum for young authors . It has existed since 2004 under the current name of Forum Hamburg Authors .

It is not an open group of authors. The majority of the members of the forum decide whether to accept new members when applying.

activities

The authors meet twice a month for a “workshop talk” in which new texts are discussed. The following literary genres are permitted: short prose , poetry , excerpts from novels , drama, etc.

The forum regularly presents itself to the public with its own events. Readings take place in various Hamburg cafes and galleries. Every December there is an annual reading at the Kulturhaus Eppendorf, at which the current yearbook is presented.

In the 1990s, readings were held in exchange with the Mäander group of authors ( Berlin ), from which no one later emerged as the literary magazine .
