Sigrid Behrens

Sigrid Behrens (born May 28, 1976 in Hamburg ) is a German artist and writer .

Life

Sigrid Behrens comes from a German-French family and grew up bilingual . She studied art at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts and German at the University of Hamburg . At times she stayed in Geneva . As an artist , she mainly deals with multimedia installations and typographic works. In addition, she has emerged as the author of literary texts. Behrens now lives as a freelance writer in Hamburg. In 2006 she took part in the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition in Klagenfurt .

Sigrid Behrens is the author of prose texts and plays .

Sigrid Behrens is a member of the Hamburg Authors Forum . She received u. a. In 2002 a Hamburg advancement award for literature , in 2003 a scholarship each from the Klagenfurt Literature Course and the Literary Colloquium Berlin, and in 2007 the Würzburg Leonhard Frank Prize .
