The Forward Madison FC is an American football franchise the USL League One from Madison , Wisconsin .

Forward Madison FC will start playing in the newly founded USL League One, the third highest division in the USA, from the 2019 season.

history

In January 2018 it was announced that Big Top Events, which already owns the Madison Mallards amateur baseball team, was planning to launch a soccer franchise in 2019. After an agreement with the city of Madison on the further use of Breese Stevens Field and an opportunity to expand or renovate the facility, Madison officially received on May 17, 2018 the commitment to participate in USL League One, at that time still as USL Division III designated.

A short time later, Peter Wilt was introduced as the first general manager. Forward Madison's first coach was Daryl Shore .

On November 18, 2018, the team name Forward Madison FC was released. This was previously determined by online voting.
