The North Texas Soccer Club , just North Texas SC , is a franchise of professional football - League USL League One from Arlington , Texas . The franchise has been playing since the 2019 season and serves as the farm team for FC Dallas from Major League Soccer .

history

On November 2, 2018, FC Dallas announced that they wanted to set up a franchise for the USL League One. On December 6, 2018, the name North Texas Soccer Club and the club's logo were unveiled.

In the first league game of the 2019 season, North Texas won 3-2 on March 31, 2019 against the Chattanooga Red Wolves. The first goal in the history of the franchise was scored by Ricardo Pepi.

North Texas SC is owned by Clark Hunt . As chairman of the Hunt Sports Group, he holds the rights to the franchise. The British Matt Denny, who previously held various positions at FC Dallas, is the general manager.
