Fosiestein

The Fosiestein ( Samnordisk runtextdatabas DR 262) is the only rune stone in Malmö . It is not in its original location, but at the church of Fosie , a southern suburb of Malmö in Skåne , Sweden .

The laterally slightly damaged stone is 1.85 m high, 0.8 m wide and 0.7 m thick.

The ornament consists of two straight, vertical rows of runes. The unadorned inscription in rune stone style RAK reads:

"As (b) iarn × risþi (×) stin × þan (s) i × aftiʀ: tuark: filaka × sin: trik: kuþan"
Asbjörn placed this stone after Dvärg (Tuark), his comrade, a good fighter.
