Fox Odendaal
Frans Hendrik "Fox" Odendaal (born September 18, 1898 in Kimberley , Cape Colony ; † February 8, 1966 ) was a South African politician and administrator of the Transvaal Province in the Union of South Africa .
Fox Odendaal gained international fame as chairman of the Odendaal Commission , which in 1963 made conceptual recommendations on racial segregation in South West Africa as part of the Odendaal Plan and was largely responsible for the establishment of homelands in South West Africa .
