Fränking (Weichs)
Fränking is a district of the municipality of Weichs , approx. 42 km northwest of Munich in the Upper Bavarian district of Dachau .
history
The village of Fränking was first mentioned in 1280 as Frechingen ("clan of Franko"); it originally belonged to the Hofmark Weichs. Parts of Hofmarkbesitzes were later foundations in monastic property ( Kloster Indersdorf , altomünster abbey passed). Around 1760 Fränking was part of the main team in Gundackersdorf .
In 1867, Count Sprety from Unterweilbach had the Marienkapelle built.
From 1818 to 1972 the place was assigned to the municipality of Ainhofen . Fränking has been a district of Weichs since 1972.
