Frédéric Sy

Frédéric Sy (* 1861 ) was a French astronomer .

Sy worked at the Paris Observatory from 1879 to 1887 and was an assistant at the Algiers Observatory from 1887 to 1918 . While working in Algiers , he discovered two asteroids , El Djezair and Bouzaréah . The asteroid Sy was named after him in 1951.
