Frédérique Matla

Frédérique Matla (born December 28, 1996 in Huizen ) is a Dutch national hockey player .

Career

Frédérique Matla plays for HC 's-Hertogenbosch , which has dominated national and European women's hockey for years.

The striker has played through all national youth teams. On June 11, 2017, she made her debut in the national team . With the Elftal she won the 2017 European Championship and a little later also won the FIH Hockey World League . In 2018 she won the title at the World Cup with the national team . She has scored 27 goals in 45 international appearances so far.

In 2017, Matla was nominated by the World Hockey Federation (FIH) for the Hockey Stars Awards as one of five players in the junior category Rising Star of the Year . This award then went to the Argentine María José Granatto .
