Frövi is a village ( Tatort ) in the Swedish municipality of Lindesberg in the province of Örebro län . The place is about ten kilometers south of Lindesberg on Länsväg 249 and the Arbogaån river .

On August 29, 1857, Frövi was connected to the railway when the Örebro – Frövi – Arboga line of the Köping – Hults – Järnväg company was opened. On November 16, 1871, Frövi became a railway junction with the opening of the then Svenska Centralbanan railway line Frövi – Ludvika . The station building, which still exists today, was opened in 1874 and has been privately owned since 2008.

The largest employer is the Frövifors paper mill, which was founded in the late 19th century and is now part of the BillerudKorsnäs AB group. When new factories were built in the 1970s, the old 19th century facilities were retained and converted into a museum.
