history

Billerud AB was formed in 2001 from the merger of paper mills Skärblacka and Karlsborg the AssiDomän group and the Gruvön paper mill from Stora Enso . The merger with Korsnäs AB followed in 2012.

Locations

The BillerudKornäs AB has (as of 2016) five paper mills in Sweden ( Korsnäsverken in Gavle , Gruvön in Grums , Karl Borg , Rockhammar and Skärblacka ), two in Finland ( Jakobstad / Pietarsaari and Tervasaari in Valkeakoski , bought in 2012 by UPM-Kymmene ) and one in United Kingdom ( Beetham , District South Lakeland ).
